Using Soil Moisture Information to Better Understand and Predict Wildfire Danger: A Symposium for Researchers and Fire Managers

About The Symposium
NOAA and the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), in partnership with the South Central CASC, are hosting a virtual symposium on May 6, 2021 (9am -4pm CDT) highlighting the latest advances in soil moisture information used for predicting wildfire dangers. This event is open to researchers and fire managers across the nation and aims to provide attendees with connection and other research opportunities. This event will provide participants with a unique opportunity to connect with others, learn about ongoing research in this area, and discuss ways to move forward with new research and end uses.
