I am interested in atmospheric dynamics as applied to synoptic and climate scale phenomena. Much of my recent work has focused on the weather systems that serve as seeds for hurricanes. I am also interested in the past and future changes in large-scale atmospheric circulations such as the Hadley circulation, monsoons, and inter-tropical convergence zone. I work with observations and model simulations.
