Area(s) of Expertise
My research examines the relationship between economic institutions, like property rights, legal codes, and management regimes, and the use or overuse of natural and environmental resources. My work is often focused on when and how users act collectively (or fail to act) to manage resources like groundwater. I also examine how property rights to natural and environmental resources alter the incentives of users to conserve resources or adapt to a changing climate.
