Area(s) of Expertise
My research seeks to better understand current and future potential threats to forest ecosystems and landscapes. The threats I study include the direct or indirect effects of climate change, land use change, and altered disturbance regimes. I often use simulation models to project future landscape change, but have used a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods in my research. I aim to produce a body of knowledge that can be used by natural resource and conservation practitioners to make better management and policy decisions.
