Puneet Srivastava leads the Water Resources Center at Auburn University. The mission of the Center is to facilitate successful collaboration among Auburn University faculty and staff on multi-disciplinary, water-related research, outreach, and teaching; and to facilitate the active involvement of private citizens in the stewardship of water resources. His own research interests include climate variability (drought) and change impacts on water resources and agriculture; surface and groundwater quantity and quality; and monitoring and modeling of hydrologic and nonpoint pollutant (nutrients and sediment) transport and transformation processes from point to regional scales. He has served (and continues to serve) in numerous leadership roles in the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). He was one of the leaders of the Southeast Climate Consortium (SECC), served on its Executive Council, and led its Water Research Group.
