New Video: “From Fire Comes Light”

This new video from NC State’s Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources with input from SE CSC PI, Jennifer Costanza, details fire’s role in promoting biodiversity in the Coastal Plain biodiversity hotspot. The video explores eastern North Carolina’s Shaken Creek Preserve, which includes 6000 acres of protected long leaf pine ecosystems and is a part of the North American Coastal Plain. Shaken Creek Preserve was established in 2005, and is managed by The Nature Conservancy. Learn more about the North American Coastal Plain biodiversity hotspot designation.
