2024-25 Global Change Research Fellows Contribute to SE RISCC Workshop and Science Communications
The 2024-25 Global Change Research Fellows were involved in the organization and facilitation of the Southeast RISCC 2024 workshop as part of their team science synthesis project. Following the workshop, the fellows have authored a summary on the workshop’s central aim of detailing species movement across the region. They have also produced two science communications pieces published on the Southeast RISCC website. These pieces featured the Tropical Seagrass Halophila stipulacea as the species spotlight of the month, and how citizen science data is widely used in invasive species data sources.
The team science group composed of Hannah Ferraro, Rachel Smith, Ally Brown, Gwen Kirschke, and Jamie Huerta collaborated on these pieces with SE RISCC coordinator, Cayla Morningstar.
