Erin Voigt is a marine scientist whose background spans habitat conservation, community ecology, and applied fisheries biology. She received her B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a M.S. in Ecology from San Diego State University. She is wrapping up her PhD. in Marine Science from North Carolina State University, focusing on juvenile blue crab nursery habitat usage and recruitment dynamics. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to developing and mentoring early-career scientists as well as providing program management and coordination to multiple environmental and climate-based research programs and networks.
As the Assistant Consortium Director for the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center, she facilitates SE CASC research project management and reporting, contributes to implementation and oversight of SE CASC operations, and coordinates university consortium and working groups. This includes planning open houses, workshops, trainings, and regional science symposia; building regional partnerships; supporting the SE CASC Global Change Research Fellows program; and contributing to National CASC activities.
