Growing Sustainable Communities Conference
October 12, 2021 - October 13, 2021
After much deliberation in the wake of rapidly changing and unprecedented circumstances surrounding the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Sustainable Dubuque has made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the 13th Annual Growing Sustainable Communities Conference, originally scheduled for October 20 – 21, 2020 in Dubuque, Iowa.
We recognize that now more than ever discussions about resiliency, a vigorous local economy and a sustainable environment are vital to a thriving community. However, we balance this with the many unknowns and the financial difficulties many municipal and state governments are facing, while striving to maintain an appropriate service level. We want participants to focus on the task at hand and share their creativity, innovation, education and stories with us at the 2021 conference.
We understand what this event means for our partners, exhibitors, presenters, sponsors, and most importantly, all of our attendees. For those who have submitted proposals, we will forward your submissions for consideration at the 2021 conference, which will be held October 12-13, 2021 at the Grand River Center in Dubuque. We hope you can join us then. We’ll have even more case studies and transformative ways to build sustainable and resilient communities and move this important work forward!
