What Does a Changing Climate Mean for Coastal Georgia?

September 30, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

The Georgia Climate Project is a statewide network launched by the University of Georgia, Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology to help Georgia reduce risks and maximize opportunities related to a changing climate.
The September webinar will be our kickoff in an ongoing monthly series discussing climate change impacts across a variety of themes in Georgia. Next month, the topic will be climate change and human health.
Coastal Georgia has experienced 10 inches of sea level rise since 1935. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources recommends that coastal communities plan for 4 to 6.3 feet of sea level rise by 2100. Please join us as we explore what these changes will mean for Georgia’s coast and what we can do to prepare.
