About
My unlimited scientific curiosity and passion for wildlife drive my academic and professional endeavors. As a Global Change Research Fellow, I hope to explore my interest in using advanced statistical models and open-source software to inform wildlife management and conservation objectives. Given the complexity of biodiversity data, I strive to employ and develop quantitative and geospatial tools that can directly inform climate adaptation and management strategies. Because of my interest in policy, I aim to conduct research in collaboration with state and federal agencies to ensure my projects can be directly applied to efforts to conserve wildlife in the face of climate change.
Research Interests
My research in the Statistical Ecology and Forest Science Lab will use cutting edge methodology in quantitative ecology to elucidate the impacts of climate change on amphibian communities across the southeastern US and develop publicly available tools that managers can use to inform adaptation decisions. I plan to identify the effects of climate adaptive forest management practices on amphibian communities. I also plan to develop an open-source geospatial tool to better quantify amphibian movement across heterogeneous landscapes that can be used to forecast how climate change will influence amphibian movement patterns.
