Background

Hannah is a social science post-doctoral research scholar, working to synthesize the state of climate adaptation science and practice in the Southeast and US Caribbean. Her research interests are grounded in the intersection of social science and natural resource management, where she explores how environmental behaviors emerge from complex socio-ecological systems and analyzes human and biophysical aspects of ecosystems in tandem. Understanding these behaviors is crucial for effective conservation practices as natural resource management operates within complex ecological systems influenced by social, political, and economic dynamics. By employing diverse social science techniques grounded in emotional and cognitive theories, Hannah aims to uncover the factors influencing human engagement with the environment.
