Virtually Celebrating Earth Day 2021

Earth Day is a day dedicated to demonstrating support for environmental protection and this year, a number of virtual events are taking place so you can safely take part in the celebration! Below is a collection of events that have been organized to celebrate the 51st Earth Day on April 22, 2021.

  • April 19-23 | The Climate Group has organized a week full of events to recognize US Climate Action Week and the Leader’s Summit on Climate being hosted by the Biden Administration. This week includes an Earth Day event and an Earth Day Youth Climate Summit.
  • April 20 | 1PM ET | The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee is hosting a webinar on Centering Equity & Justice in Addressing Climate-Forced Displacement in the United States and Abroad featuring SE CASC Assistant University Director, Aranzazu Lascurain as a panelist for the discussion.
  • April 20-22 | Earthday.org has organized a three day event featuring presentations by world climate leaders, grassroots activists, nonprofit innovators, thought leaders, industry leaders, artists, and musicians.
  • April 22 | 4PM ET | The Gregg Museum of Art & Design is hosting an Earth Day film screening of Jeff Orlowski’s “Chasing Coral.”
  • April 22 | 4PM ET | The NCSU Sustainability Office is hosting a virtual Celebration of Sustainability event to celebrate progress in sustainability measures across campus. Additionally, the winners of the NC State Sustainability Awards and the recipients of the NC State Sustainability Fund grants will be announced.
  • April 27-28 | Foreign Policy has organized a Virtual Climate Summit which will convene an international group of government officials, industry leaders and issue experts to highlight strategies and innovations to advance the dialogue and highlight solutions to meet climate action targets.
