2022 Southeast CASC Retrospective
As we start off the new year, let’s take a look back at some of the many Southeast CASC successes and events of 2022.
In 2022 we….
Shared Science in Person!
From September 19-21, 2022, SE CASC hosted the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Symposium in Gulf Shores, AL. With over 160 attendees, this event allowed for the sharing of climate science and adaptation efforts among the research and management communities. Read the symposium summary here.
And Virtually!
In 2022, the Southeast CASC hosted six science seminars. View a collection of our science seminars here.

Introduced a New Cohort of Global Change Fellows
In addition to staff, we also welcomed 12 new 2022-23 Global Change Fellows.
From August 14-19, 2022, the fellows participated in the SE CASC 2022 Climate Adaptation Science Field Intensive at Duke University Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC, to learn more about climate adaptation concepts. This event was accompanied by SE CASC staff and several graduate students from SE CASC Consortium Universities – Auburn University, University of Florida, University of Tennessee, Duke University, and University of South Carolina.
