Energy and Environment Forum

November 18, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Energy & Environment with Dr. Megan Donahue
Thursday, Nov. 18th | 1:00 to 2:30 pm | Virtual Lecture via Zoom: tiny.utk.edu/Donahue

Join us for an Energy and Environment Forum with Dr. Megan Donahue, Research Professor at the Hawai’i Institute of Marine Biology. In this Energy and Environment Forum, Donahue will be discussing local and global stressors on coral reef ecosystems and ways to inform and equip managers to alleviate these stressors.

Using modeling, experiments, and data-synthesis, Dr. Donahue’s research is focused on the ecology and management of coral reef ecosystems. The Donahue Lab has ongoing projects on coral disease forecasting, nearshore water quality, community assembly and trophic dynamics, submarine groundwater in nearshore reefs, a meta-analysis of coral stressor thresholds, and data synthesis for coastal management.  She takes joy in mentoring and serves as Co-Director of the Marine Biology Graduate Program.
This event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Virtually, via Zoom, available via webcast at tiny.utk.edu/Donahue.
