More than the sum of their parts? Interactions of invasive species and other environmental change
November 9, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Description
International concern about the consequences of human-induced global environmental changes has prompted a renewed focus on reducing ecological effects of biological invasions, climate change, and nutrient pollution. We conducted a meta-analysis to assess the relative magnitude of invasion plus another environmental change on native organisms relative to invasion or environmental change effects alone. The good news is that the bad news isn’t quite as bad as we thought, and that tangible local-scale invasive species management is beneficial even with other environmental changes.
