Providing the Science: How the State Climate Office of North Carolina and the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center support coastal resilience and sustainability – and how you can get involved.

Dr. Kathie Dello (Director, State Climate Office of North Carolina) and Dr. Rebecca Irwin (University Director, USGS Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center) will share how their programs can support projects and initiatives related to weather, climate and determining ways we can adapt. Make sure you join us, you don’t want to be left standing out in the cold!

Seminar Series: This seminar is the second in a weekly series where experts within and outside of NC State will address the same question: What is the future of Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Research and Communications?

Major Themes: During the Spring semester speakers will answer the question of the future of CR&S Research and Communications within one of six major themes outlined in the initiative:
Theme 1: Sustainable agriculture, forestry, and rural, natural resource-based economies
Theme 2: Water quality and quantity in the coastal zone
Theme 3: Energy resilience, and innovations in technology
Theme 4: Coupled human and natural systems
Theme 5: Mutually beneficial engagement that emphasizes social equity
Theme 6: Education at NC State and beyond
