USFWS Coastal Program Highlights

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Coastal Program works with diverse partners to improve and protect habitat important to wildlife and people. Their locally-based staff provide technical and financial assistance to implement these conservation projects. This webinar highlights a few projects and partners that have received Coastal Program assistance.

South Carolina Coastal Program’s partnership with the Lord Berkeley Conservation Trust to protect private lands via conservation easements and how these properties fit into the larger landscape of protected properties (private, state, and federal)
Puget Sound Coastal Program’s efforts to restore shoreline and estuary habitat in the Elwha River Delta
Chesapeake Bay Field Office’s innovative partnerships for land protection between the Navy and the US Fish and Wildlife Service: Sentinel Landscapes Partnership
Southwest Coastal Program’s partnerships and efforts of restoration in the Salt Bayou, the largest coastal wetlands complex along the Texas Gulf Coast.
