Dr. Hailey Shanovich is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota's Natural Resource Science and Management PhD program. Hailey's research background is rooted in entomology and the development of management plans for professionals. Hailey is passionate about effective science communication and uses her skills in verbal and written communication, coding in R, and scientific illustration to create engaging outreach materials for a wide range of audiences. Hailey is excited to participate in the ORISE program as a postdoctoral fellow with the USGS and Southeast CASC where she will help state partners and stakeholders navigate the wealth of data that the CASCs have collected to create climate-informed State Wildlife Action Plans. She also is looking forward to meeting all her new cool colleagues and learning new things.
