As a PI and Research Lead here at the University of the Virgin Islands, I am dedicated to developing tomorrow's work force (citizens, students, and new faculty) to take on the current and emerging environmental challenges facing small islands here in the Caribbean- particularly those of associated with climate change. Our current set of projects and programs identified listed in the research website for my profile captures the range of topics- improving STEM education in our local schools, exploring the role of local and global drivers of environmental change in the USVI, developing strategies for hazard mitigation and resilience planning for the Virgin Islands, and codeveloping climate adaptation strategies with underserved communities in America's Caribbean.
