Global Change Symposium Agenda
The Global Change Symposium is intended to coalesce a nascent community of departments, scholars, students, and staff across the university to discuss three questions:
- How are you currently incorporating issues of global change in your work?
- What do you see as important future research directions? What is missing in your research? Would you like to be involved in more trans-disciplinary work? What are the opportunities you see on the horizon? Past the horizon?
- What are the next steps to enhance the community of global change researchers at NCSU?
The symposium allowed NCSU researchers, educators, extension specialists and their students and collaborators to present posters on their current and future work, interact with colleagues in other departments and colleges, and develop an agenda of next steps to create a cross-disciplinary research agenda that responds to the challenges posed by global change processes.
