Documentary: Chasing Ice

Chasing Ice is a breathtaking documentary giving a visual tour of the earth’s shrinking ice formations. Environmental photographer, James Balog, set up Extreme Ice Survey to automatically photograph ice formations to produce a time-lapse presentation of vanishing glaciers across the Arctic. The imagery is juxtaposed with interviews with climate and conservation scientists such as Jason Box, Terry Root, Tad Pfeffer, and Gerald Meehl among others. The U.S.G.S was among the science team for Extreme Ice Survey.
