2019 Frederick and Joan Barkalow Distinguished Conservationist Lecture

The College of Natural Resources invites you to join us at the 2019 Frederick and Joan Barkalow Distinguished Conservationist Lecture, where we are pleased to welcome Dr. Larissa Bailey, Associate Professor at Colorado State University.
Speaker Bio
Dr. Larissa Bailey is a Colorado native and enjoyed summers catching frogs and fish on her grandparents’ family farms. She received her undergraduate degrees from Mesa State College (B.S. Biology, B.A. History), a Division II school where she also played varsity basketball. She served as the Coordinator for Mesa State’s Academic Advising program for two years before returning to graduate school at North Carolina State University. She earned a Masters in Biomathematics and PhD in Zoology at NCSU and then worked at USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center for 7 years, first as a post-doc and then as the Coordinator of the Northeast Amphibian Research and Monitoring Initiative (NE ARMI).
