Aligning Co-Production of Environmental Knowledge with Trust, Justice, and Equity

July 12, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

BECS 2021 Seminar

About this event

Co-production is a promising approach to developing effective solutions to complex problems. It brings together diverse groups and stakeholders to develop deeper understanding of the causes of and solutions to complex problem(s). Co-production holds the potential to improve the translation of research knowledge into practice by engaging diverse stakeholders in the design, implementation, and interpretation of research, to ensure that research is meaningful, timely, and relevant to the needs of researchers and stakeholders, thereby improving impact. The diversity of the applications of co-production, from within individual projects to across programs, means there is limited consensus on best practices for co-production at different scales of governance.

This workshop will discuss research and lessons learned about co-production of environmental knowledge, and will highlight approaches to align co-production with trust, justice, and equity.
