Area(s) of Expertise
My background is in paleoceanography using microfossils and stable isotopic records. My current graduate students are testing stable isotopic proxies for temperature and salinity in estuarine environments. I also work with students to examine salt marsh accretion rates with respect to sea level rise, impacts of local development on water quality and marsh health. A long term interest of mine is reconstructing historic changes in the estuarine and coastal salinity regime due to increased groundwater utilization and altered flow regimes over time.
