​I am a biologist fascinated by the shapes, colors, and functions of the organisms surrounding us. I combine experimental, observational, and synthetic approaches to address both basic and applied questions in environmental sciences and provide fundamental knowledge to preserve, manage, and enhance natural resources and ecosystems. I am particularly interested in coastal ecosystems and biodiversity and how they are influenced by human activities and climate change.
