Indigenous Education InstituteDr. Gregory Cajete, PhD is Professor Emeritus and former Director of the Native American Studies program at the University of New Mexico. He is a renowned author and artist from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico. He has pioneered reconciling Indigenous perspectives in science with a western academic setting. His focus is on teaching culturally based science, with its emphasis on health and wellness.
